A next-generation experimental set-up for Reaction studies with Relativistic Radioactive Beams The objectives of the proposal are to design and partly implement an advanced experimental set-up for Reaction studies with Relativistic Radioactive ion Beams (R3B) at the GSI laboratory in Darmstadt, Germany. R3B will provide unique experimental conditions worldwide for experiments with relativistic secondary beams to the benefit of researchers in the fields of applied nuclear physics. Apart from providing unique research opportunities for professional researchers, it will allow students and post-docs to be trained at a state-of-the-art facility for scientific and applied purposes.
