Change to LD2

Status: System filled with N2 or H2

Pumping out of System + Target:

Close MV01, MV05 and MV11

Open MV04, MV03, MV08 and MV09

MV10 is closed, switch "on" RP02 and open MV10 slowly (when 1bar is reached, MV10 can be opened full)

Switch "on" PG01 and wait until pressure is ~8-5 x 10-2 mbar

(On the PC the target is displayed yellow = liquid, because it's simulation Ptarget<Patmosphere)

Refill of Deuterium (if necessary):

Switch "off" PG10, close MV10

Close MV03, MV04 and MV08

The compressor can be started now

Connect the D2 gas cylinder to the H2 inlet, this can be done via the N2-tube, this tube must be then connected to the H2 inlet

Open the main-valve at the cylinder, 2. stage of the pressure reducer must be adjusted to ~2.1 bar, open the valve after the pressure reducer

Open MV10 and with valve MV11 purge ~10 x via RP02

Close MV10 and MV11

Open MV02 at the D2 storage tank

Activate the LN2 trap

Open MV11 and open MV08 slowly until pressure in the D2 storage is 2.05 bar (Control with PT01)

Close MV11 and MV08

Deactivate the LN2 trap

Open MV10 slowly

Switch "on" PG01 and wait until there is no more ice on the Cu-spiral of the LN2 trap

Close the D2 gas cylinder

Control the valves (pumping continues via the opened MV10):

Change the setpoint at the TC330 to 22.00 K: (press successively "2","2","setpoint","0","0","enter")    !!setpoint = decimalpoint!!

If there is any wrong input: you can leave the setpoint-program with "escape" and try again...

When PG01 has reached <8 x 10-2 mbar: close MV10, switch "off" RP02 and PG01 and open MV08

At the PC:

With the mouse click successively on Menu/Target/Liquefaction. After this press the "+" key and the setpoint-window appears

Click there on "Deuterium" and wait until the new setpoints are inserted

Press "-"-key and the "Target"-window appears

There are two alarm-messages: Pstorage (too much pressure) and Ptarget (too less or no pressure)

Then open PV02, the flow increases to ~2400 SCCM and the pressure in the target increases too, it will be stopped automatically at ~1.1 bar, the flow decreases to ~2 SSCM

If the pressure in the target is too high, adjust the left potentiometer at the PID to ~2.0 V

The D2 liquefaction lasts ~6 hours

Then adjust the setpoint at the TC330 to 23.70 K and switch the "heater" from "medium" to "high"

Close PV02, at the PC change to "Exploitation"

Close PV01: the system is operating now like a kryo-pump, the turbomolekular-pump continues operation

Two alarm-messages will appear: Pstorage and Ttarget

Press the "+"-key: the "setpoint-window" appears

Click on PT01S1 and insert in the upper line the new value: 1090 mbar

(previously activate NumLock=Verr num) the alarm Pstorage disappears (Pstorage            ~1054 mbar)

As described above, change T22S2 from 23 K to 22 K, the alarm Ttarget disappears

Ready

                                               EXPLOITATION

For evaporation of D2: change the setpoint at the TC330 to 60 K
