At S4 of the FRS a Gas Detection System for CH4 and H2 is installed.

This system is of the type Winter GMS 8 and consists of two modules and two sensors for H2 and one module and one sensor for CH4.

The system is installed left-handed of the entrance to S4 at the wall and the sensors are installed at the ceiling of S4.

The H2 sensors are at the time out of operation due to the lifetime of these sensors: approx. 12 months.

These H2 sensors must be renewed before using the H2 at S4 again!

The alarms of these modules are given to an alarm module. If the gas concentration either H2 or CH4 exceeds 10% of the metering range, an alarm appears optically and a buzzer resounds. A reset of the alarm can only be done at the alarm unit after the reason of this alarm is eliminated.

In the case of an Alarm follow strictly all Safety Instructions for burnable gases!

Detailed manual for the GMS 8(*.pdf-file) in English or German see Links and Downloads.
